From first conversation to final walkthrough
A clear renovation discussion connects your goals with the existing home, the selected products and the work involved. Use these steps to prepare questions for Chelle before making project decisions.
Start with the goal
Tell Chelle which room or feature you want to change, what is difficult about it today and what you hope will feel different afterward. Include your town, whether the home is occupied and any preferred timing. You can begin with practical needs rather than a finished design.
Define the work
Discuss the existing condition and what needs closer assessment. Ask which work belongs in the proposed scope, who is responsible for each part and what needs to be resolved before pricing or scheduling. Make sure related finishing work is considered alongside the main installation.
Connect selections and approvals
Cabinet layouts, surfaces, hardware and opening sizes can affect one another. Gather your preferences and ask when selections must be settled. Review the proposal, exclusions and approval responsibilities together so that the agreed work reflects the choices you intend to make.
Plan for work in the home
Before construction, discuss access, material deliveries, the working areas and how questions will be handled. Ask how proposed changes are documented and how they affect the scope or schedule. Household arrangements should be worked through for your particular rooms and routines.
Review the result
At completion, discuss a walkthrough, any remaining items and the product information you will need. Ask which care instructions and written terms apply to the work. Keep the agreed scope and relevant documentation together for future reference.
Questions before you start
List the problems you most want to solve, then identify which rooms or openings connect. That helps you discuss priorities and whether related work should be considered together.
