Gasparilla Island extends into Charlotte and Lee counties. Boca Grande’s historic village is on the Lee County portion; the northern island is in Charlotte County.

The address and parcel record identify the responsible authority. A “Boca Grande” mailing address is not enough to decide which county’s resources apply.

Before choosing a replacement window, exterior door or visible exterior change, find out whether the property is within a designated historic district or individually designated.
